The RA1 represents the most straightforward use of a Cool Acoustics soundboard, in an instrument that is constructed as close as possible to a conventional wooden acoustic guitar. The back and sides of the sound chamber are made of plywood, demonstrating that in the hands of a skilled luthier, low cost materials are no barrier to building a high quality instrument.
